When I heard Tony saying; “Life is always happening for us, not to us”. I let this sank in a bit deeper and I started to wonder. My steps, challenges, pains, fears, experiences, hardship, etc, lead me up to who I have become today. If I didn’t have all these things I would have been a totally different person. Now, I am so proud of the life I created together with my husband. But mainly for who I became due to all these processes in my whole life. Ready to forgive me and others, for the things I did or didn’t have done. I guess we all have that…. Perhaps you are thinking about one now…
A BETTER ME
What if we adapt to this mindset? Knowing these experiences are there to create a better YOU, a better ME. What does that change for you? It gives me opportunities and new chances, new ways to become a better person over and over again! And to be in control of my own life is such an empowering feeling. The more you feel this is happening to you, the more you become a victim. That is why life is always happening for us, not to us. They are here to let us grow and have an easier life.
IN CONTROL OF WHAT?
We only control how we deal with our own lives, not that of someone else, this is not our responsibility. We are only and fully responsible for how WE choose to react to every single situation. After mastering them we will enter a “new level” with new and other challenges to come.
LEARN & UNLEARN
In what challenge/situation are you in now? What is happening in your life at the moment? Is it a person who is in your life you have to learn from? Perhaps there is that same situation coming up for you for the third time in a row? Or did an old situation suddenly shows up? Maybe this happened to peel off a deeper layer? As we go through life, we constantly evolve through these new experiences. This is exactly what we call LIFE! We are here to learn and to unlearn and learn and unlearn again.
What is your challenge at the moment? Mine is to enjoy life to the fullest now. To allow that happening I need to learn to do nothing and just relax! Every day I train myself to relax more and easier. I guess it’s in my DNA to work constantly and harder. And don’t allow time for myself, and always dedicate this to work or others. Over time it is getting better and better. I have been away for some courses for personal growth to become a better coach and entrepreneur. I need to allow myself to relax and unwind over the next few weeks. To calm down and let all my insights sink in.
This is mental work, for many even doesn’t qualify as “real” work. And this is the most important work we’ll ever do! It creates a different mindset, one I am even more proud of, and helps me to be better. Become my best self, be an inspiration to others, and to become a better friend, wife, sister, daughter, etc. Thank you, Tony, from the bottom of my heart! For holding up this mirror today and to really see the importance of my opportunities happening in my life! I hope to meet you and Sage in person one day and tell you how this inspired me!
p.s. For you who is unfamiliar with (Anthony) Tony Robbins is an entrepreneur, best-selling author, philanthropist, and the nation’s #1 life and business strategist. He has been an inspiration to me for many years. I bought his first book at 25 and purchased my first program. This was the start of my love for NLP, I even became a certified Transpersonal NLP Coach and Counselor myself. And yes, life is happening for us!
